Washington, Feb 2, 2008 - Stearns, R-Ocala, was at Santa Fe Community College on Friday morning to address nearly 100 high school students from low-income families around the state. The teens were attending the 2008 Student Leadership Conference put on by the Florida Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel. The association represents Upward Bound and other organizations designed to encourage students to make good choices and continue their education past high school.
