Local residents sang Christmas carols at Medway Common Plaza on Thursday evening. Members of St. Joseph's Choir and Charles River Chorale held the fundraiser to support next year’s Christmas parade and holiday festivities administered by the town-appointed Medway Christmas Parade Committee. The parade this year drew 6,000 participants.
The town is midway through design work on proposed renovations to Town Hall, according to local officials. Kelly McElreath, the chairwoman of the Town Hall Renovation Committee, said the town is making good progress on the project.
The Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School FIRST® Robotics Team, Tri-Force, was recently awarded a $5,000 Sustaining Grant from NASA. Tri-Force applied for the grant to help fund the cost of attending annual regional robotics competitions, including the Boston FIRST Regional Robotics Competition at Boston University in March 2013, the Battlecry competition at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2013, and the Beantown Blitz competition at Northeastern University in June 2013.
