Release: Conservation Workshop May 27 in Gainesville

Congressman Gerry Connolly will host a workshop on land conservation efforts and related tax incentives and grant opportunities on Wednesday, May 27 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Buckland Farm in Gainesville.

The public is invited to attend Connolly’s Conservation Program at Buckland Manor House to learn more about federal income tax deductions and state tax credits that landowners can receive for voluntarily placing their land in conservation easements.  Many Prince William County landowners are eligible for these tax incentives.

Many Prince William County landowners are also eligible for conservation funding grants available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a USDA representative will be on hand to describe the programs in detail.

The panel discussion will feature Congressman Connolly and experts from Buckland Farm, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Piedmont Environmental Council, as well as representatives of the Prince William Conservation Alliance, the Buckland Preservation Society, the American Battlefield Protection Association, and Journey Through Hallowed Ground.

For more information, contact Congressman Connolly’s Prince William District Office at 703-670-4989.
