Stop mailing money with surveys, Tipton tells Reclamation bureau
A practice of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to mail money with public-opinion surveys to encourage recipients to fill out forms and send them back amounts to a case of “blatant waste, abuse and fraud,” said U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Colo.
House bans fed cash-for-survey
The House voted Wednesday to prevent federal agencies from using cash as an incentive for individuals to respond to surveys. The House voted 355-51 in favor of an amendment by U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Colo., that would ban the practice among agencies affected by the energy and water appropriations bill.
