Obama to Honor Miami HEAT

On January 28, President Obama will welcome the NBA Champion Miami Heat to the White House to honor the team and their 2012 NBA Championship victory. The President will also recognize the Heat’s ongoing support to the men and women who serve in our military and their families, continuing the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring teams for their efforts on and off the court.

The Miami HEAT beat the Toronto Raptors, 116-123, in overtime on Wednesday night at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 35 points, five rebounds and seven assists. LeBron James had a triple-double on the night by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Ray Allen had 18 points on the night. Dwyane Wade scored six of his 35 points in overtime to help the Heat defeat the Raptors 123-116 on Wednesday night. LeBron James had a triple-double of 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Ray Allen scored 18 points off the bench.
