Flag Requests

Senator Murkowski can arrange for an American Flag to be flown over the U.S. Capitol. With proper notice, flags can be flown every day of the year, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years' Day. Each flag is accompanied by a certificate showing that it was flown over the Capitol. All flags are made in the United States. A personal message, of 300 characters or less, can be printed on the flag certificate.

Please place orders at least six weeks in advance to help secure a particular date. However, due to the large number of flag requests no date can be guaranteed.

The fastest way to request and pay for a flag is through our online form which can be found here. Our online form accepts the following types of payments: debit or credit cards, PayPal, and bank account transfers. Otherwise, please fill out the form below or download (PDF) and return the Flag Request form, with the correct payment to the Senator’s Washington, D.C. office. Please allow seven to nine weeks for processing and delivery.

Each flag will be accompanied with a certificate signed by the Architect of the Capitol certifying the date that the flag was flown over the United States Capitol and listing the name of the person/persons or organization for whom the flag was purchased. Please provide the following information, as applicable, so that we can include the appropriate information on the flag certificate.
