  • Bishop Participates in Portrait Unveiling at the Utah Military Academy

    Congressman Rob Bishop (UT-01) attends the official portrait unveiling of United States Air Force veteran LTC Jay Hess at the Utah Military Academy on Monday, September 22nd. The Utah Military Academy is Utah's first full-time military academy charter school, serving 310 cadets in grades 7-12. Each of the halls within the school bears the name of a Utah veteran. Hess Hall is named in honor of USAF LTC Jay Hess, who was held captive as a prisoner of war in Vietnam for 2,029 days. He was released on March 14, 1973.
