Wheelersburg High School in Scioto County held their 11th annual Veterans Day Assembly on November 11, 2014. Rep. Johnson entered the U.S. Air Force in 1973, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after a distinguished military career of more than 26 years.

Bill Johnson attended the ribbon cutting for the long-awaited runway expansion at the Jefferson County Airpark in Wintersville on October 8, 2014.

On September 22, 2014, Bill Johnson visited the Wayne National Forest's Ironton District Ranger Station in Pedro, as well as some of the new and refurbished facilities at the Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area.

Bill Johnson visited and toured the Home Depot location in Salem on September 23, 2014.

Bill Johnson visited with the Minford High School Marching Band on October 15, 2014. Johnson nominated the band to participate in the 2015 Independence Day Parade.

Rep. Johnson traveled to Belle Valley and the OSU/OARDC Eastern Agricultural Research Station in August of 2014. Farms, especially family farms, play a very critical role in the economy of Eastern and Southeastern Ohio.

Bill Johnson met with many job seekers and employers at a energy jobs and career fair hosted at Belmont College in St. Clairsville on September 26, 2014. The event was hosted by Senator Rob Portman.

On September 3, 2014 at the Jefferson Co. Airpark, Bill Johnson presented four students of the Jefferson Co. Joint Vocational School with a congressional proclamation congratulating them for winning the inaugural Ohio Sixth District Congressional STEM App Challenge, with their mobile app entitled "Let's Aviate."
