Who May Apply
To apply for Congressman Reichert’s Youth Advisory Board, you must be:
- A constituent of the Eighth Congressional District
- A high school student
- A United States citizen
Application Procedure
To apply you will need to provide Congressman Reichert’s Office the information listed below:
- A completed application.
- Three letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation may not come from family members, and at least one letter must be from a school official.
- Resume
- Cover letter
- Essay – the topic should address why you would like to serve on Congressman Reichert’s Youth Advisory Board.
- A completed Media Release.
When Should You Apply

Interviews & Appointments
Interviews will be conducted at the Issaquah office by Jacques Imperial, the Youth Advisory Coordinator for Congressman Reichert in October. Official notifications will be sent by mail. Appointments will be made shortly after.
