NDOT Opens Multiple Roads Following Flooding

Las Vegas – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has opened multiple roads overnight following flash flooding Monday afternoon:

I-15 closed from mile marker 64 to 112 (Glendale to Mesquite)
State Route 168 between Coyote Springs and Moapa    Open as of approximately 1:45 a.m.
US 93 at mile markers 78-80 – south of Coyote Springs  Open as of approximately 10 p.m.
US 93 at mile markers 54-60 – north of the Glendale junction   Open as of approximately 10 p.m.
US 95 at mile marker 1 – Laughlin junction (traffic being diverted through Bullhead City, Arizona)   Open as of approximately 3:30 a.m.

Interstate 15 remains closed from mile marker 64 to 112 (Glendale to Mesquite) due to road erosion caused by rushing flood waters. NDOT will make repairs as immediately as possible.

NDOT officials ask that drivers avoid flooded areas if at all possible. Motorists should plan ahead, expect delays and use alternate routes. Drivers are asked to avoid driving through water because the depth is hard to gauge. Nevada maps for potential detour routes are available by selecting “Travel Info” on www.nevadadot.com.
