Vitter Receives Prestigious Bertel Award for Contributions to Louisiana’s Ports, Waterways
(Metairie, La.) - U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.) today released the following statement upon being awarded the prestigious C. Alvin Bertel Award at the World Trade Center in New Orleans, La. Vitter, a senior member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW), is receiving the award for his work championing the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) and Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), and also protecting the Jones Act.
