Celebrating Filipino American Heritage Month

I was proud to join my colleagues in celebrating Filipino American Heritage Month and calling on Congress to enact legislation that would award Filipino World War II veterans the Congressional Gold Medal. Filipino Americans' continued contributions are an indelible part of America’s society, and I hope that Congress will act on legislation aimed at rectifying past injustices towards the Filipino American and other communities who suffered injustices during World War II.
