Washington, DC—Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi today released the following statement on the unjustified actions taken by Col. Juan J. Medina, the Adjutant General of the Puerto Rico National Guard:
Washington, DC—“I have been working to ensure that the 23 residents of Vieques, who have been providing security services at the radar installation on La Isla Nena and who were facing the imminent loss of their jobs on January 31st, would be able to continue performing their important work.
Washington, DC—“I just had a very productive meeting with Associate Attorney General Tony West, who co-chairs the White House Task Force on Puerto Rico, and with other federal officials.
Washington, DC—“As expected, the Republican leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives will bring to the floor today yet another bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which was enacted through the efforts of President Obama and congressional Democrats.
