On February 3, 2015, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster and Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Frank LoBiondo introduced the Aviation Innovation, Reform, and Reauthorization (AIRR) Act. The AIRR Act, six-year reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration, contains a proposal that would completely dismantle the current ATO system.
