    Early on in his first year in office, Congressman Kennedy made a commitment to the constituents of the 4th District that he would bring public office hours to each of the 34 cities and towns in the district by the end of his first year. Newton, MA – Congressman Joe Kennedy III announced today the Taunton Fire Department received a grant of $1,340,360 under the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grants Program. These funds will be used by the department to hire seven firefighters.
