Washington, DC – Today Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) acted to remove lawmaking authority from unelected federal bureaucrats and reinstate that power to Congress. Olson introduced H.R. 5812, the Civil Rights Uniformity Act of 2016.
Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) announced that late Friday, President Obama signed into law his bill, which names a Post Office after Sugar Land fallen Marine Lance Corporal Garrett Gamble. Gamble was killed on March 11, 2010 while patrolling during combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was a 2008 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High in Sugar Land.

Last night Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) voted to protect the rights of individuals and healthcare providers who have ethical and religious objections to abortion. Olson was a cosponsor of and voted in support of H.R. 4828, the Conscience Protection Act.
