Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today issued the following statement after attending a joint session of Congress to receive President Obama’s State of the Union address. She was joined by Lt. Joseph Crisostomo, USAF, who viewed the address from the House Gallery as her guest. Lt. Crisostomo is a former resident of Barrigada and graduated from George Washington High School in 2002. He was nominated by Congresswoman Bordallo to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy and was commissioned as an officer in the Air Force in 2010.  Lt.

The Congresswoman today announced the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) awarded the Government of Guam $647, 249 in federal financial assistance through the Office on Violence Against Women. These federal funds will be administered by the Office of the Governor and distributed to government and nonprofit stakeholders as part of the DOJ’s Services, Training, Officers, and Prosecutors (STOP) Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program.
