Congressman Rice to Participate in Veterans Memorial Day March

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) announced today he will participate in the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Memorial Day March on Monday, May 25 to honor our community’s fallen heroes.  

Memorial Day March participants will gather at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans ballpark at 8:00 a.m. to be transported to Ocean Boulevard, where the march will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Members of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 34-3 will perform their Battlefield Cross Ceremony at the conclusion of the march and again at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Murrells Inlet.

“Our troops put their lives on the line every day to protect our freedoms,” said Rice.  “Sadly, not all of them come home.  On Memorial Day, we commemorate our fallen servicemen and women and honor their legacy.  For without their sacrifices, we would not be the land of the free or home of the brave.”

Memorial Day March participants include Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Members, Veterans, Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07), United States Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson, and members of the community.
