REP. JENKINS STATEMENT ON MEMORIAL DAY

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement on the Memorial Day holiday:

“For more than two centuries, men and women in uniform have given their lives to protect our way of life. They believed in something bigger than themselves – freedom, liberty and democracy. They knew our nation was worth defending, even worth dying for. I encourage all West Virginians to join in remembering those who laid down their lives so that we may be free. They must never be forgotten.”
