Committee on Ways and Means
This month, Chairman Kevin Brady delivered remarks in support of free trade, stating "Like the term ‘free speech,’ the term ‘free trade’ doesn’t refer to its cost, it means the freedom TO trade. In America it’s our freedom to buy, sell and compete anywhere in the world with as little government interference as possible."

If you are serious about making U.S. businesses competitive in the international marketplace, then pass the FairTax! It's infuriating to listen to these buffoons talk about their great ideas while they ignore the one thing that could really make a difference.

Pass the Fair Tax & make America the place people want to bring their money. Too many in DC want to dance around the issues in fear of stepping on the toes of a lobbyist! Time to care more about Americans!.

Thanks go to the National Alliance of Families for the Return of American Missing Servicemen for endorsing Rep. Glenn Thompson's H. Con. Res. 56, the pending resolution calling on our trade partners to honor their obligations to expedite the recovery of our POWs and the remains of our Missing in Action, from all conflicts going back to World War II. This resolution has been bottled up for over a year in Rep. Kevin Brady's House Ways and Means Committee because the House Republican Leadership doesn't consider it important enough to permit it to come to a vote of the full House. It's shameful that the House Republican Leadership has apparently decided that Rep. Thompson's resolution - so important to so many families of our MIAs and POWs - won't even be permitted to come to a vote. https:// www.congress.gov /bill/ 114th-congress/ house-concurrent -resolution/56
