Foreign ID Review Act of 2016
This bill requires the Department of Justice to review every two years all forms of identification issued to foreign nationals in the United States by the governments of Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, including consular-issued identification and passports, to determine if such forms of identification are sufficiently secure to verify the bearer's identity for purposes such as opening a financial institution account and obtaining any lawful benefit for the bearer's child.
