Decades of over overspending by career politicians in Springfield have left our state finances a mess, and sadly, the people being hurt the most by the gridlock are those who need our help the most. Illinois students should not be punished for politician’s failures to pass a responsible budget.

This week our bipartisan bill to stop drug overdose deaths, Lali's Law, overcame a major legislative hurdle. Lali's Law will now head to the House Floor for a vote after being unanimously passed by the Energy and Commerce Committee this week.
