Social Security Administration
Almost all Social Security Administration business can be conducted over the phone. Call (800) 772-1213 to get information, make an appointment, or request changes in your record. You can also visit the Social Security Administration website at www.ssa.gov to complete online applications for retirement or disability benefits, determine estimated retirement benefits, or change your address. You can also visit the Social Security office locator to determine which of the Social Security offices listed below are nearest you.
Local Social Security Administration offices are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. Wednesday hours are 9 am to 12 pm.

Medicare
All Social Security Medicare-related questions are handled by the closest Social Security office. For assistance contact Medicare by phone at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or visit the Medicare website www.medicare.gov. If you are in need of assistance with any of the following issues please contact the Social Security Administration:
- Change of address and correct address problems;
- Beneficiary eligibility status and effective dates of coverage;
- Issuance of the Medicare card (free);
- Assignment of Health Insurance Claim number and suffix;
- Access to Part A and Part B premium information;
- Add or delete date of death information on the master record;
- Sign up an individual as the Representative Payee;
- Enroll People with Medicare for extra help with Medicare Part D costs and other qualified Medicare savings programs;
- Enroll People with Medicare for Medicare Part D premium withdrawals
