Scranton, PA – Today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), an agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has awarded a total of $850,569 in Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) funds to fire companies throughout Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District during the month of August.

Matt Cartwright announced that a grant worth $96,753 has been awarded to The Wright Center through the Ryan White Title III HIV Capacity Development and Planning Program. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) funds will be used for HIV treatment capacity planning and development.
