The 79-year-old Vietnam veteran (1966-69), who had recently been living in his car for more than three months, was at the 15th annual North Bay Stand Down where he met Henry Nunes, 47, a Vallejo native and a Gulf War veteran (1987-90) who served on the USS Enterprise.
