Among my work on your behalf this week, I've been focused on a bill to ensure pregnant workers aren't treated unfairly.

As a father of three, I've seen firsthand the challenges that pregnant women face in the workforce. More than 35 years after passage of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, pregnant women still face challenges on the job.

A pregnant worker should never face a choice between her job and the health of her pregnancy. That's why I've signed on to the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.

This commonsense legislation would make reasonable accommodations that allow pregnant workers to continue working and prevent them from being forced out on leave or out of their jobs.
