We must do everything we can to ensure service members, veterans and their families are cared for in return for their service to our country. Proper defense budgeting ensures our soldiers are best equipped to get the job done. Maintaining the readiness of our military also upholds our nation’s commitment to respond to security conflicts. Supporting South Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst not only supports our national defense system, but employs 44,000 civilians and military personnel.
I also have a personal commitment to the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, our strongest ally and the only true democracy in the Middle East. I am proud to serve on the Armed Services Committee as I learn about and debate the foreign and domestic threats to our nation.

Washington, DC-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today announced two separate National Science Foundation (NSF) grants awarded to Rowan University College of Engineering, totaling more than $750,000.
“These awards aren’t just investments in our local students—but investments in technology, the economy, even the safety & security of our nation. These funds will go a long way helping us achieve important objectives in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM),” said Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01).
Camden, New Jersey-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today welcomed civil rights icon and U.S. Congressman John Lewis to Camden, New Jersey for important discussions on gun violence and designating a City property linked to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as an historic landmark.
The Congressmen first visited a property at 753 Walnut Street in Camden, which local historians identified as a former home to Dr. King while he studied at the former Crozer Theological Seminary in Upland, Pennsylvania in the 1950s.
