In March 2010, Congress passed, and the President signed, comprehensive health reform into law. Millions of Americans are already benefiting from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
California is currently facing an unprecedented drought, which will require all Californians to work together. We're all united by water in the state, from urban and rural communities, to farmers, fishermen, sportsmen, and large and small businesses.
California has been among the states hardest hit by the housing crisis. Senator Boxer has fought for policies to keep families in their homes, to promote access to affordable housing and to ensure responsible lending practices and greater transparency.
I encourage all Californians to be prepared for a major earthquake. The Department of Homeland Security and FEMA have an excellent guide on what to do before, during and after an earthquake to protect you and your family.
