Fly a Flag Over the U.S. Capitol

Every year, an average of more than 100,000 flags are flown over the U.S. Capitol at the request of Members of Congress. The tradition began in 1937, and is used to commemorate birthdays, anniversaries, the work of civic organizations and various other special occasions.

As the Senator's term is coming to an end, the last day to have a flag flown over the Capitol will be Tuesday, November 8. If you wish to have a flag flown over the Capitol after November 8, please contact Senator Feinstein's office or your Member of Congress.
