Murphy to Speak at Main Street Partnership Event

Families and Supporters Join Forces in Washington Before Committee Vote

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Main Street Partnership invited Congressman Tim Murphy (R-PA) to speak at a press conference on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the House Triangle in advance of Wednesday’s Energy & Commerce Committee vote on the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act (H.R. 2646).

Since introduction, the bill has garnered 191 cosponsors, including 53 Democrats and 138 Republicans, as well as over 60 editorial board endorsements including the Wall Street Journal, National Review and Washington Post. The Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act focuses on policies to assist those with the most serious mental illnesses by getting them treatment before, during and after a psychiatric crisis.
