Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Ken Buck expressed outrage at the President’s plan to move terrorists onto American soil. Eight years after committing to radical elements of his political base that he would close Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention camp, the President fulfilled that misguided promise by announcing his plans to close the camp. The remaining terrorists will be transferred to other nations or to the United States, where the administration has been considering locations like Fremont County, Colorado, as a final destination.

“Time and time again, public safety has taken a back seat to political point-scoring with this President,” Congressman Ken Buck stated. “Not only could the President’s plan cost nearly half a billion dollars, but it makes us less safe.”

Rep. Ken Buck (CO-04) is the Freshman Class President. He serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.  He serves on the OGR Subcommittees on Government Operations and the Interior and is a member of the Judiciary Subcommittees on Immigration and Border Security and Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security and Investigations.
