Fellow Marylanders:

I invite you to join me at my annual Foreclosure Prevention Workshop on Saturday, June 15th at Woodlawn Senior High School from 9 am to 3 pm.

At the workshop, I will bring together more than 20 mortgage lenders, attorneys and counselors to meet with you and reach solutions to your mortgage issues on the spot through one-on-one sessions.

We also offer sessions on avoiding foreclosure scams, how to restore your credit after the storm, and federal housing programs.

Please register on my website at http://cummings.house.gov and come prepared by bringing copies of:
  1. A detailed hardship letter
  2. Two most recent paystubs
  3. Last two months bank statements
  4. Last two years tax returns
  5. Default, late or foreclosure notices from your lender
  6. A list of monthly household expenses
  7. A utility bill
With the Obama Administration just announcing that it will extend the Making Home Affordable Program through December 31, 2015, now is the time to get serious about saving our homes.

If you have questions, would like to see a full list of participating lenders, or would like to register, you may either call my office at 410-685-9199 or visit my website at http://cummings.house.gov.

Our homes are often our greatest sources of wealth. Let's protect them!
