10th Congressional District Young Women Leadership Program Application

Thank you for your interest in the 10th Congressional District Young Women Leadership Program.

Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (VA-10) will continue the 10th Congressional District’s Young Women Leadership Program this year. The program provides young women currently enrolled in middle school and high school with the opportunity to meet and interact with women who hold leadership roles in government, business, medicine, media relations, and other professions.

Through this unique nonpartisan program, participants will hear from special guests as they share insight, advice, and stories of personal achievement. They will also engage with their peers and our special guests in candid, roundtable discussions. Participants will also learn to identify their strengths, practice effective communication with others, and develop their leadership abilities. The hope is to inspire these young women to set ambitious educational and career goals.  This summer program will include periodic events held throughout the 10TH Congressional District and at the U.S. Capitol.

Eligibility:

Congresswoman Comstock’s office will review and consider applications from young women currently enrolled in middle school or high school (public, private, or home school). Please note that priority placement will be given to applicants who reside or attend school in the 10th District.

Time Commitment:

We ask that participants attend a majority of the programs offered to fully benefit from this program.  This program will begin in June 2017 and will continue through the end of August 2017.
