KDAL: Nolan Calls For Declassification Of 9-11 Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDAL) - Representative Rick Nolan has renewed his call to declassify and make public 28 secret pages of the 9-11 Commission Report that describes in detail who likely financed the Saudi-al Qaeda terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon in 2001.

Nolan is one of the few members of Congress who obtained a special security clearance and read the transcripts in a locked and guarded room beneath the U-S Capitol building. 

Nolan says the pages he reviewed "present a clear and startling picture of who financed the attacks." 

Representatives Nolan and Walter Jones of North Carolina are leading a House resolution urging that the 28 pages be declassified. 

A growing drive to make the pages public is the result of a feature about them on the CBS 60 Minute program on Sunday. 

Nolan says the time for secrecy is over and "the American people and the families of the victims of 9-11 deserve the truth."
