Washington, DC – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced Friday that Charles Massarone, of Lexington, Kentucky, was confirmed as a Commissioner of the United States Parole Commission. Massarone, who has 29 years of law-enforcement experience, was nominated to the post last year.
Senator McConnell recommended Massarone, who has been a member of the Kentucky Parole Board since 2008, for the post. He also serves as a member of the Kentucky Corrections Commission, the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
“This is a great honor for Chuck. He is a great representative of our state, and I am pleased that he will be able to serve as a Commissioner of the U.S. Parole Commission,” McConnell said.
Mr. Massarone is a graduate of the Criminal Justice Training program at Eastern Kentucky University.
