WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced Thursday that Mark T. Nethery, President of the League of Kentucky Sportsmen, was nominated by the President to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation, which provides scholarships to college students involved in the environment.
Nethery, of Louisville, was recommended for the position by Senator McConnell. He is currently President of the League of KY Sportsmen, serving in that position since 2011. Nethery also is the owner of Bluegrass Game Calls, LLC, and a freelance outdoor writer.
“Mark Nethery is a true Kentucky sportsman and is well-respected by sporting enthusiasts in the Bluegrass State,” Senator McConnell said. “I was pleased to recommend him for this position, and I am confident that Mark will serve the people of Kentucky with distinction and will be an advocate for students with an interest in our nation’s natural resources.”
His nomination must now be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. For more information on the Udall Foundation, visit its website here: http://www.udall.gov/AboutUs/AboutUs.aspx
