Today I stood with my Dem colleagues on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to push for a bipartisan, independent probe into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.
Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Thank you to all the men and women in blue who risk their lives to serve & protect. #NationalLawEnforcementAppreciationDay
Today, I joined more than 150 House Democrats in asking for an independent commission to investigate Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Today I stood with my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus to speak out against Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and ask the Senate to reject the nomination of Jeff Sessions for U.S. attorney general.
“I’m relieved that Congressional Republicans reversed their decision to eliminate the Office of Congressional Ethics. With all of the challenges that America faces today, I am deeply concerned that this was the first action that was being considered in the 115th Congress. I hope this is not indicative of the direction Congress is headed over the next two years.”

As 2016 comes to a close, I want to thank my family, friends, colleagues & fellow Hoosiers for their support throughout the year.
May 2017 be prosperous, fulfilling, educational and a year of breakthrough in your life.
As we look forward to a new session of Congress, I'm reminded of how meeting with Hoosiers and listening to their concerns makes me a better representative. Check in with my page over the next few days to see some of my highlights from 2016.
To everyone gathering at sundown to light the first candle on the menorah, warm wishes for a joyful and happy Hanukkah!
Great to join my friend Amp Harris and Indianapolis Colts Robert Mathis and D'Qwell Jackson in putting smiles on the faces of Hoosier children this holiday season. #toydrive
ICYMI: This week Indiana received a D- on the 2016 Gun Law State Scorecard.
With over 117,000 Americans shot every year in this country, I am committed to fighting for smarter gun laws in Congress.
I had a great time today at the YMCA Toys for Tots event that provided toys to thousands of children for the holiday season!
Today is the fourth anniversary of #SandyHook. Since that day, over 130,000 have died from gun violence. We can and must do better. #HonorWithAction
