Senator McConnell Announces Funding for Louisville International Airport

*Grant to be used to construct airport taxiway*
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was notified on Tuesday that the Department of Transportation has approved a grant of more than $1.63 million for the Louisville International Airport. The funds will be used to construct a taxiway at the airport.
“This is great news for the City of Louisville and to the many travelers who fly in and out of the Louisville airport every year,” said McConnell. “The new taxiway will help improve the operations at the airport, and I am pleased the Department of Transportation recognized the importance of this project to our state.”
The total amount of the federal grant is $1,634,340.
