Hudson Votes to Axe the Death Tax
 
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) voted to axe the death tax:
 
“The death tax unfairly hits our small business owners and family farmers; at its core, it’s a tax on the American dream. At a time of economic uncertainty, it makes no sense for the government to punish the very entrepreneurs who make economic growth and job creation possible. North Carolinians do not owe their success to the federal government, and the benefits of their hard work shouldn’t be confiscated from their children and grandchildren when they die.”
 
Click here to learn more about the Death Tax Repeal Act (H.R. 1105), which will permanently eliminate the death tax and end the double taxation that threatens the livelihood of family farms, small businesses and jobs.
 
In addition, Rep. Hudson is the author of the Farmers Against Crippling Taxes (FACT) Act  (H.R. 186) to repeal the death tax and has been awarded the Benjamin Franklin Award by the 60 Plus Association, a national non-partisan senior citizen’s organization, for his work to eliminate the death tax.
