On a unanimous bipartisan voice vote, the U.S. House passed Congressman Mo Brooks’ bill, the “American Leadership in Space Technology and Advanced Rocketry Act” or “ALSTAR Act.”

Congressman Brooks pitched Redstone Arsenal as the best location for Space Force command to NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, and U.S. Air Force General John Hyten in a joint hearing of the Space Subcommittee and Strategic Forces Subcommittee. With all the space and defense communities in North Alabama already do, Redstone Arsenal is a natural fit for Space Force command.
