Yesterday in Wallowa County, I met with Winding Waters Community Health Center and the Enterprise Police Department to learn about how they are teaming up to combat the opioid crisis in eastern Oregon. Through a robust drug take back program and the use of the anti overdose drug Narcan, Winding Waters and the Enterprise Police Department have taken concrete steps to stem the tide and save lives in our communities. I’ll continue to do my part in Congress to get my legislation that passed the House in June - the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act (H.R. 6) - signed into law so we can tackle this crisis from all angles.
