    It’s been over 2 weeks since the expired. When House Ag Chairman was in Omaha this week, we discussed that farm and ranch families must not be held hostage although significant policy differences remain across many parts of the bill.

    In the early 1800’s nearly 85% of our population farmed for a living – that number has dwindled down to just over 2%. We wouldn’t be the country we are today if it weren’t for the hardworking farmers and ranchers that have worked the fields throughout the years.

    I’m fighting to protect the Central Valley from Sacramento’s water grab and save our farms and communities. I brought the acting administrator to the Central Valley today and will continue to bring the administration here to see firsthand the damage this plan would have.
