WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04), with support from 24 Democratic Members of Congress, reintroduced H.R. 1299, the “Berta Caceres Human Rights in Honduras Act.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressmen Hank Johnson (GA-04), Tom Marino (PA-10), and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) have teamed up to reintroduce a bipartisan, bicameral bill today that would require the military to phase out the use of live animals and instead use the advanced medical technology in combat trauma courses.
“Last year I challenged the Academy to be diverse and inclusive. Improvements have been made but there is still more work to be done,” said Congressman Johnson who in 2016 joined Congressman John Conyers, Jr. in sending a letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to promote racial and gender diversity on screen.
