U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson, a Democrat, said in a statement that pulling back the coverage would result in unintended pregnancies. He called it “mindless” when combined with the administration’s proposal to cut back on a federal nutrition program for infants and children.

Hank Johnson’s, D-Ga., Fourth Congressional District Art Competition during a ceremony at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia on Saturday. Her photograph, “Nature,” received a $24,000 scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Over the past couple of weeks, ten Somali nationals have been detained by ICE throughout Metro Atlanta and are now facing deportation. Some were picked up at their jobs, in their homes, and in some cases, it is alleged that ICE used false pretenses to detain them.
Johnson, on the other hand, said in a statement that the firing of Comey constituted an “assault on our republic” by Trump, who Democrats have accused of benefiting from alleged Russian interference in the election.
