Current Surveys Jobs Virtual

The U.S. Census Bureau conducts more than 100 surveys of households and businesses across the nation each year. Some of these surveys require in-person interviews. The U.S. Census Bureau hires both short-term and long-term field staff to conduct these surveys in the areas they reside. Field staff interview respondents to collect survey or census data as required for ongoing surveys, one-time surveys, and special censuses either using a laptop computer or a paper form.
Ongoing: The U.S. Census Bureau hires short-term and long-term Field Representatives to conduct a variety of surveys in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
Winter 2018/2019: The U.S. Census Bureau will be hiring short-term Field Supervisors and Field Representatives to conduct the Survey of Income Program Participation in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Spring 2019: The U.S. Census Bureau will be hiring short-term Field Supervisors and Field Representatives to conduct the American Housing Survey in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
