Senate Republicans held a press conference on Thursday, June 4, to announce Republican legislation to give individual taxpayers ownership of the federal governments share of stock in General Motors and Chrysler acquired during the current bailout and bankruptcy proceedings.

Senate Republicans will seek fair hearings to determine if the nominee respects the Constitution and laws as written or is one who intends to rewrite them based upon personal preferences.
