Armendariz Skips House Hearing; Finds Time to Visit Sierra Club

Washington, D.C. - Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, said he was not surprised to learn that former Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz was at the Sierra Club on the day he was supposed to appear before the House Energy and Commerce committee to testify on his efforts to implement EPA's "crucify them" agenda on American energy producers. National Journal first reported on the story.

"So the mystery is solved," Senator Inhofe said. "Rather than testifying in the House and being accountable for carrying out the Obama-EPA's 'crucify them' agenda, it appears Mr. Armendariz may have had a job interview with the Sierra Club.  With such an impressive job-killing resume, it would be no surprise if the Sierra Club is recruiting him for their 'Beyond Gas' campaign designed to 'prevent any new gas plants from being built' and to end natural gas production in this country.  At least at the Sierra Club, Armendariz won't run the risk of losing his job for telling the truth about President Obama's real agenda."
