Rights and Reproductions

Images from the House Collection are provided for educational or scholarly purposes.

To request images of objects in the House Collection:

1. Complete the Request for Image Reproductions form (PDF)
2. Email the form to art@mail.house.gov.
3. If approved, we will send you a digital image and your approved request form.

It is the requester's obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or otherwise distributing materials found in the House Collection. Transmission or reproduction of protected items beyond that allowed by fair use requires the written permission of the copyright owners. Requesters must make their own assessments of rights in light of their intended use. The House of Representatives is not responsible for violation of copyright by users of the images nor does it assume responsibility for any claims resulting from the failure of users to secure reproduction rights.
