Ann Wagner — US Representative for Missouri District 2

Today I paid my respects to Seaman 1st Class Natale I. Torti as he was welcomed home to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks. On December 7, 1941 he made the ultimate sacrifice at Pearl Harbor. As Americans, we honor the memories of all those who served by remembering that freedom is not free. Our peace and protection have been bought and paid for with the blood of generations in uniform who have gone before us. My thoughts are with the Torti family, and I pray our country will be ever mindful of our heroes’ service and sacrifice.

Just left meeting with POTUS and the Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. With my legislation #FOSTA and the work of this administration, we are fighting human trafficking on all fronts at home and abroad.

Also had the honor of meeting the recipients of the 2018 Presidential Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Combat Trafficking in Persons. I am inspired by the work so many are doing to fight this horrendous crime.
