The opioid crisis has devastated all of our communities. Americans have lost family members, friends, and loved ones to opioid abuse. While this national crisis is not going to be solved by Congress alone, today we once again demonstrated that we are committed to doing our part to help prevent addiction and provide treatment resources for those addicted to opioids. I thank the many members of both the House and Senate that worked on getting this bill to the finish line and look forward to President Trump signing it into law. Help is on its way to communities across the United States.

As a result, Congress has made a historic $4 billion investment in combating the #OpioidCrisis. Dozens of bills have been passed that focus on enforcement, prevention, and treatment in order to keep Americans safe. Virginia and #VA06 is #BetterOffNow because they will receive $19,524,664 in federal assistance to battle this scourge.
